What we believe...

At Lakeview, we adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. We are participating members of the Southern Baptist Convention, Georgia Baptist Mission Board and the local Mell Baptist Association.  Clink the link below for more information on the Baptist Faith and Message.

Core Beliefs:

The Bible: We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith and practice.

God: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully human, who died for the sins of humanity and rose again.

Salvation: Salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, involving repentance and belief.

The Church: Each local church is autonomous and self-governing.

Religious Liberty: Baptists strongly advocate for religious freedom for all individuals.

Priesthood of all Believers: Each believer has direct access to God through Christ.

Baptism: Baptism is an ordinance of the church, typically by immersion, symbolizing the believer's death to sin and resurrection to new life.

Lord's Supper: Also known as communion, it's a symbolic remembrance of Christ's sacrifice.

Missions: Baptists are committed to sharing the gospel with the world.

Stewardship: Christians are called to be faithful stewards of their time, talents, and resources.
